Student Leaders:

We hope that each student that is part of our ministry during their time in college learns how to walk with Jesus deeply, has a desire to make Him known broadly, and receives the skills to minister to anyone, anywhere that they may go in life. As students grown in their walk with Jesus they are encouraged to join the Nav leadership team and influence the campus by “passing on their life” to other students. Student leaders are involved in helping to plan the ministry, lead Bible studies, disciple younger students and share their faith.  They also receive one on one discipleship and training from staff or an older student leader. Through being a part of our student leader team, we have seen many students grow hugely in their faith. Read below to see some of the ways that students have grown through this experience:

“Through being a student leader, it has been so fun to see the fruit produced in the lives of the people I have invested in. It's so awesome to see God work in the lives of your friends and watch as they start to live out their lives for Him. I have also learned perseverance through times when it seems like there is no growth in the people I'm investing in. He has taught me that nothing I do can bring people to salvation, it's all through His mighty power.”
Kristin Rembolt

“Through being part of the student leader team, my eyes have been widen to the fact that every day I have the opportunity to share the gospel and I am still learning with God’s help to make the best of those opportunities. I think it has also taught me a lot about how I can’t depend on myself, but that I must rely on God and His power working through my life.”
Paul Hartwell

During my time on the team, God has been showing me how important it is to share the gospel and make disciples, because when I am gone the things that I have learned will go with me unless I share what I have learned with someone. He is also showing me how important it is to have a heart for others and be willing to sacrifice my time to help them.

While serving as a student leader, God has developed me as a laborer – one willing to “seek His Kingdom and righteousness first” (Mt. 6:33). God has shaped a life goal for me to be a disciple-maker, or someone willing to pour their life out to another to grow and challenge others in faith in Christ. Lastly, God is showing me the need for the lost to know Christ. I now desire to have lost friends and live amongst them.
Derrick Evans

God has definitely shaped my life goals as a result of being on the student leader team. He is showing me that I can live and labor for Him no matter where He places me in life. He has really shaped my heart for the nations and my desire to share His love with all kinds of people and He has shown me that I can do this anywhere.
